Telle est la question au cœur de cette recherche, qui prend racine dans une expérience tangible : La place hypothétique de l’arbre. Cette agora, conçue pour délibérer autour du bien commun, est née dans le cadre de À ciel Ouvert 2020, un parcours d'art contemporain. Nichée au cœur d’un parc naturel protégé à Riorges, cette installation se voulait un lieu de rencontre et de dialogue, où les enjeux environnementaux et sociétaux trouvent leur écho. Mais elle est aussi le point de départ d’un projet plus vaste, destiné à s’épanouir de façon diffuse et fragmentée à travers le territoire. L’ambition est de multiplier les espaces de dialogue, de provoquer des rencontres, tout en restant fidèle à l’esprit de Riorges, en réinventant sans cesse les formes. La place hypothétique, ancrée dans une géographie singulière, invite à "faire lieu" autrement. Elle engage un processus de création collective, sous la forme d’un questionnement partagé. Les acteurs du territoire sont invités à s’en emparer, à nourrir cet espace de leurs usages, leurs besoins, leurs manques. Sa matérialité, telle une balise poétique, agit comme un point de ralliement, un repère autour duquel pourrait naître un sentiment commun, une convergence d’énergies. Partir du symbolique pour toucher le réel, et de là, initier une action concrète nourrie par une énergie collective. C’est peut-être l’une des voies les plus fertiles pour redonner du sens, pour tenter de "faire société". En créant des lieux où le rituel contemporain se réinvente, nous interrogeons notre capacité à nous approprier ensemble les questions cruciales qui concernent l’ensemble du vivant. Et c’est sans doute dans cette trame de connexions – entre médiums, disciplines, et champs d’action – que les luttes environnementales, harmonieusement entremêlées aux luttes sociales et sociétales, pourront devenir un motif culturel profond. Commune de plus de 10.000 habitants, situé dans l’aire d’attraction&nbsp; de la Ville de Roanne acteurs : agents du service culturel et élus de la ville de Riorges, agents du service espaces verts,&nbsp;membres de la ligue de protection des oiseaux, membres de la ligue de l'enseignement, des enseignants de Riorges, riverains et visiteurs du parc ayant répondu à la question posée. processus : la première phase du processus était de prendre contact avec des associations locales, groupes scolaires, et autres habitants qui font vivre les jardins familiaux afin de leur proposer de possibles collaborations.&nbsp; Les étapes suivantes étaient un point de départ et ont été amené à évoluer : Choix du point d’implantation de la place hypothétique de l’arbre au sein de la plaine de la Rivoire. Matérialisation de l’espace imaginé par la construction d’une structure circulaire en bois avec la possible participation des habitants. Mise en place d’un jeu pour délibérer autour de la plantation de l’arbre hypothétique (urne enterrée au centre du dispositif) durant les 3 mois d’installation. Suite à ce procédé, les habitants sont invités à l’ouverture de l’urne. Le décompte des voix permettra-t-il de définir la volonté partagée des habitants ? Planter un arbre à cet endroit ? Quel arbre ? Au détour de ces méandres, la plaine de la Rivoire apparaît. En son âme, irruption d’un halo, pour une terre à nu, invitation à déchiffrer l’idiome de ce paysage. Dans un climat pléthore d’informations, un appel à converger vers une concentration partagée. Prendre part au fil d’un récit unanime. Nous proposons la fabrication d’une assemblée pour délibérer le commun. En prémisse, déterminer ensemble un point d’attention dans la plaine. Puis dans cette place close, inaccessible, invoquer le bon sens collectif. Faut-il creuser un passage pour désenclaver cette ronde réservée ? Enfin, réunis autour de ce point d’induction déclencher un débat autour de la plantation d’un arbre en son sein. Mais quel arbre ? Pourquoi ? Après ce symposium préalable, libres sont les pas. Bordée par les vents, ouverte aux confluences humaines et animales, la Place hypothétique de l’Arbre devient un amplificateur au service des possibles, un prélude tourné vers l’essence du lieu. Jaillissant du fleuve, des îles investies par champs et sylves, joncs et fleurs, entrecoupées par une alternance d’étangs et de canaux attrapent le regard. De cette morphologie alluviale émane la mémoire des anciens marais. Transformé au fil des siècles en une terre arable, ce tapis polychrome est à présent altéré par les assauts urbanistiques multiformes. Suivant le flot et après s’être engagé dans le marais d’Hecquet, on peut apercevoir, sur le bord d’une berge, un embarcadère désarticulé. Façonné par les mouvances hydrauliques, il incarne le déséquilibre en ses multiples facettes. Traversé par des pilotis, ponton à la hauteur fluctuante, répondant aux balancements de l’eau à la métamorphose saisonnière. En approche, apparition de plateformes disposées de manière aléatoire. Elles viennent s’insérer en travers des verticales élancées et invitent à prendre place pour déguster l’éventail paysager qui se déploie tout autour. En réponse à l’ambition dominatrice de l’Homme sur le vivant, la fabrication d’une forme instable laissant cours aux flux non-humains permet une mise à niveau fusionnant nature et culture. Acceptant les remous élémentaux elle tangue dans sa quête d’un équilibre réciproque. Cette exposition d’une relation d’interdépendance entre l’objet et les forces qui l’environnent interroge l’impact de l’implantation d’un élément artificiel dans un milieu naturel et invite à repenser notre manière d’habiter la terre. engagées dans une démarche collective autour des enjeux de biodiversité, de citoyenneté, d'art et de culture. Ces actions prennent vie dans un cadre singulier, à la croisée d’un quartier en pleine mutation urbaine et d’une propriété privée appartenant à l’association des Papillons Blancs de Dunkerque. Cette dernière soutient, au sein de trois établissements, des personnes en situation de handicap, leur offrant des emplois adaptés, un accueil de jour ainsi qu’un foyer médicalisé. Parmi les premières réalisations concrètes, la construction d’un Théâtre de verdure s’est imposée sur le terrain du foyer médicalisé "Le Relais des Moëres". Imaginé par l’atelier Cir, ce projet a été mis en œuvre sous forme de chantier participatif, rassemblant des publics variés. Résidents permanents ou temporaires, membres du personnel, éducateurs spécialisés, jeunes accompagnés, artistes locaux et habitants du quartier : la diversité des participants a donné lieu à des rencontres riches et inspirantes. Pensé pour accueillir la "Drôle de fête", un programme éclectique d'événements culturels, cet espace en plein air vise à tisser des liens entre le foyer – longtemps isolé – et le monde extérieur. Niché entre les arbres, il offre également un havre de tranquillité où professionnels et résidents peuvent s’imprégner de la nature environnante. Il se prête à l’organisation d’ateliers, de pique-niques, de débats, et de projections sous les étoiles, laissant libre cours à l’imagination. Ce lieu devient ainsi un champ des possibles, un espace ouvert dans un cadre pourtant rigoureusement aménagé pour répondre aux besoins des personnes en situation de handicap. Chaque souffle de vie qui traverse ce théâtre de verdure porte en lui l’écho d’une rencontre, d’un partage, comme autant de battements d’ailes faisant vibrer les liens humains et créant, à leur inscrite au cadastre napoléonien de 1814. Malheureusement, le bâtiment a subi de nombreuses dégradations après avoir été laissé à l'abandon pendant plusieurs années. Notre objectif est de redonner vie à cette maison, en préservant son caractère historique tout en améliorant sa fonctionnalité et son esthétique. Nous envisageons de transformer cette propriété en un espace à usage mixte, alliant habitation principale et hébergement hôtelier de type chambre d'hôte. Parallèlement, nous nous engageons à optimiser le confort thermique du bâtiment tout en particulier sa consommation énergétique. Pour cela, nous adoptons une approche réfléchie en matière d'isolation, en privilégiant l'utilisation de matériaux écologiques. ancien lieu d’enfermement de celles à qui on attribuait des pouvoirs maléfiques, demeure un témoin du passé. En cet objet désormais cerné par la maille urbaine, il s’agira d’éprouver l’éclat essentiel de la forêt. Longtemps porteuse d’un imaginaire sombre, infréquentable, la forêt a en commun avec les sorcières, une mise au ban insolente. Lieu symbolique pour maintes cultures, vecteur d’équilibre tant du monde animal que végétal, allié précieux de la vie sur terre, objet de discorde et d’union sacrée, la forêt concentre un répertoire aux multiples facettes. En son sein, l’arbre tient une place essentielle. Si l’on cherche à sortir de son acceptation purement générique pour l’étudier dans sa diversité, il a vocation à demeurer mystérieux, insaisissable. Comme le souligne le botaniste Francis Hallé : (voir extrait). Si l’arbre est l’élément le plus usité lorsqu’il s’agit de décrire la forêt, il fait partie d’un tout complexe et irréductible englobant une richesse et une diversité organique inestimable. C’est pour mettre en scène cet enchevêtrement impénétrable que nous proposons aux passants de prendre place dans une œuvre en mouvement. Dans la continuité de la rue, en ce passage désormais usuel, s’ouvrira un antre mystérieux. Cet abri en cœur de ville sera une porte vers une forêt imaginaire. Dans sa partie interne, bousculant le chemin linéaire et attendu, une assemblée proposera un arrêt dans le présent qui file. Elle sera une mise en lumière du temps indispensable de la rencontre. On pourra s’y poser et questionner la place de la forêt dans l’histoire particulière de chacun. Et sur des fils suspendus, accrocher des objets, dessins et textes, comme autant d’arbres pour une forêt de récits en dialogue. Et qui sait, ces rassemblements d’idées ou de corps pourront contribuer à déplacer le regard et construire une histoire commune au vivant dans toutes ses variantes. « […] Si vous allez dans une école de forestière en Europe, on vous donnera une définition de l’arbre qui ne concerne que l’arbre d’Europe, comme si le seul vrai arbre était le « nôtre » avec un tronc unique, du bois, des branches, une couronne foliaire dense et une hauteur totale de plus de sept mètres. Le chêne, le hêtre et le tilleul sont à leur aise mais ni les arbres fossiles, ni les arbres tropicaux ne répondent à cette définition. Dans les tropiques, certains arbres n’ont pas un mais une douzaine de troncs ; d’autres n’ont pas de branches, ni de bois, comme les palmiers ; d’autres encore n’ont pas de feuilles, comme les cactus arborescents ou les grands euphorbes d’Afrique. Un jour, je suis parvenu à formuler une définition qui me convenait, jusqu’à la découverte des arbres souterrains, dans la savane d’Afrique du Sud, près de Pretoria. Ma définition s’est écroulée, car ces arbres souterrains n’y trouvaient pas leur place. […] ».
